The Key Witness Fund provides a safety net for key witnesses to war crimes in Syria who, at great risk to themselves and their families, testify against the Assad Regime and/or its allies Iran and Russia in criminal and civil cases. SETF strives to encourage victims and witnesses to provide their accounts of atrocities committed by the Assad Regime, and hold war criminals accountable. Currently, no international mechanism exists to provide support for these key witnesses, and SETF has worked to fill a crucial gap in the international system.
