Restoring Hope Amid Crisis
The Syrian Emergency Task Force (SETF) leads vital educational and humanitarian initiatives for internally displaced Syrians across the country – including former residents of the Rukban Camp. These efforts are a direct response to the ongoing humanitarian catastrophe in Syria, where communities continue to struggle after more than 14 years of war.
Meeting Urgent Needs
The humanitarian situation in Syria remains critical. Millions of Syrians face food insecurity, lack access to education and healthcare, and remain displaced from their homes. SETF focuses on delivering aid to the most vulnerable: widows, orphans, children, and internally displaced persons (IDPs).
Our programs are designed not only to relieve suffering but also to restore dignity, create opportunity, and connect Syrians on the ground with a global community that cares.
SETF Humanitarian Programs

Wisdom House
In the Aleppo countryside offers early childhood education to over 100 displaced children, led by six dedicated local teachers who provide a safe, nurturing learning environment.

Tomorrow's Dawn
In Idlib offers free secondary education and vocational training to young women. The school equips students with practical skills and professional tools to achieve financial independence and rebuild their communities.

Rukban
For years, tens of thousands of Syrians were trapped in Rukban Camp, a remote, desert settlement near the Jordanian border with limited access to aid, food, or medical care. SETF has remained one of the few organizations consistently working to support Rukban residents.
SETF Humanitarian Initiatives

Letters of Hope
We collect handwritten letters from people all over the world and deliver them to displaced Syrian children to provide emotional support to those who have been affected by the conflict.

Rukban: Operation Syrian Oasis
SETF broke the agonizing siege on Rukban utilizing the US Denton Program delivering life-saving aid and opening a humanitarian corridor to sustain the camps’ needs.

Earthquake Response
After the earthquake in February 2023, SETF responded by bringing in the first international journalists into northwest Syria and delivering over $100,000 in humanitarian assistance.
